Hello everyone! 皆さんこにちは!

Today’s phrase in Japanese is one that hopefully you will find really helpful when you need someone to repeat something to you. The phrase is “Moo ichido onegai shimasu” (もう一度お願いします). It literally means “once again, thank you.” Here is an example of how to use “もう一度お願いします”

In this situation Maeda Watanabe asks her fellow classmate Ami Uzumi how to say book in Japanese. Ami doesn’t hear her and asks her to repeat the question. Maeda repeats the question and after hearing it again Ami answers.

Maeda: Uzumi-san wa book wa Nihongo de nan to iimasu ka?

Ami: Sumimasen, moo ichido onegai shimasu.

Maeda: Book wa Nihongo de nan to iimasu ka?

Ami: Aa, Hon to iimasu.
